The National Weather Service in Milwaukee is now producing an experimental inland lakes wave height forecast, in addition to wave forecasts on Lake Michigan. The inland lakes forecast is available in graphical and text format, and is a 72 hour forecast of wind speed, direction and estimated wave height on the larger inland lakes of south central and southeast Wisconsin. This forecast would be very useful to boaters and fisherman on the inland lakes of southern Wisconsin.
