New! Experimental Inland Lakes Wave Forecast Now Available

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee is now producing an experimental inland lakes wave height forecast, in addition to wave forecasts on Lake Michigan. The inland lakes forecast is available in graphical and text format, and is a 72 hour forecast of wind speed, direction and estimated wave height on the larger inland lakes of south central and southeast Wisconsin. This forecast would be very useful to boaters and fisherman on the inland lakes of southern Wisconsin.

Inland lakes that are forecast include:

Lake Winnebago (south) - Fond du Lac County
Beaver Dam Lake - Dodge County
Green Lake - Green Lake County
Lake Wisconsin - Columbia County
Cedar Lake - Washington County
Lake Mendota - Dane County
Lake Monona - Dane County
Lake Koshkonong - Jefferson County
Pewaukee Lake - Waukesha County
Muskego Lake - Waukesha County
Whitewater Lake - Walworth County
Lake Geneva - Walworth County and more
