Severe Thunderstorms in the Central Plains; Heavy Rainfall in the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys; Critical Fire Weather in the Southwest

Scattered severe storms capable of large to very large hail, severe wind gusts, and a few tornadoes will be possible across the central Plains. Heavy rain will pose a flash flood threat across portions of the Mississippi Valley into the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys. The National Weather Service is experimenting with a new easier to read tabular format of our Great Lakes Open Waters and Nearshore Marine Forecasts. The target audience for these products are users of marine weather information, including the commercial marine community, recreational boating community, and other government agencies including the US Coast Guard.

These experimental easy to read tabular forecasts are available on the following website:
