Atmospheric River to Begin to Impact the Northwest U.S.; Gusty Winds in the Northeast U.S.

A strong atmospheric river moving into northern California later Tuesday will bring a threat for moderate to heavy rainfall and flooding, gusty to high winds, and mountain snows for parts of the Northwest U.S. through at least Wednesday. The National Weather Service is experimenting with a new easier to read tabular format of our Great Lakes Open Waters and Nearshore Marine Forecasts.  The target audience for these products are users of marine weather information, including the commercial marine community, recreational boating community, and other government agencies including the US Coast Guard. 

These experimental easy to read tabular forecasts are available on the following website:
