Severe Weather and Heavy Rainfall from the Midwest to the Ohio Valley; Mid-Summer Heat Continues

Severe thunderstorm and heavy rainfall threats will persist from the Midwest to Lower Great Lakes through Monday, shifting into the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians Monday evening into Tuesday. The National Weather Service is experimenting with a new easier to read tabular format of our Great Lakes Open Waters and Nearshore Marine Forecasts. The target audience for these products are users of marine weather information, including the commercial marine community, recreational boating community, and other government agencies including the US Coast Guard.

These experimental easy to read tabular forecasts are available on the following website:

A side by side comparison of the new format and legacy format is available on this website as well.
