Tropical Depression in the Gulf; Severe Thunderstorms Monday

Tropical Depression Two is expected to gradually strengthen and could bring tropical storm conditions to the Florida Panhandle beginning late Monday. Areas of flash flooding will be possible through Thursday along the eastern and central Gulf Coast. Due to the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms today, the Routine Weekly Test of NOAA All-Hazards radio is postponed until tomorrow, Thursday, March 20th around noon.

Also, there will be maintenance to the Madison NOAA Weather Radio transmitter (WXJ-87, 162.550mhz, Channel 7) early on Friday morning between midnight and 6am. The transmitter will be down during this time. Alternative nearby weather radio stations to use during this time are:
