A fiber line cut in the Janesville area has adversely affected telecommunications at the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan. Technicians are actively working to fix this issue, however we have not been informed of an estimated time of restoration.

We thank the National Weather Service in Green Bay for providing service backup to our operations.

As a consequence of this telecommunications outage, the following will be affected:

1) No radar imagery will be disseminated from the Milwaukee-Sullivan (KMKX) and Milwaukee Terminal Doppler (TMKE) radars. Please utilize surrounding radars from Green Bay, LaCrosse, Davenport and Chicago.

2) Forecast information on NOAA Weather Radio Broadcasts may become outdated, though observations should remain current.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
