Dangerous Heat in the Central and Eastern U.S.; Severe Thunderstorms in the Central U.S. and Northeast; Critical Fire Weather in the Four Corners

Dangerous, record-breaking heat will intensify across most of the central and eastern U.S this week. Heat indices will likely exceed 100 degrees. Severe thunderstorms are forecast across parts of the Upper Midwest into the Great Lakes, the Northeast, and the central High Plains. NOAA released its Winter Outlook on Thursday Oct 19. In short, for southern WI there are slightly increased chances for above average precipitation and no signal one way or the other for temperature for the December through February time period.
