Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain in the Central U.S.

A broad threat of scattered severe thunderstorms and heavy showers will exist across the central and southern High Plains into Sunday, including areas well off to the east into the Mid-South and Tennessee Valley. The National Weather Service in Morristown, TN is presenting a spotter training class for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in Chattanooga, TN.

The presentation will be held on July 8th, 2017 from 1 pm - 3 pm EDT. Interpreters and CART services will be provided, and WeatherAlert Radios, provided by Hamilton County 9-1-1 and Hearing Loss Association of America, Chattanooga Chapter, will be raffled at the talk.
 

We are asking that everyone that is planning to attend email Jessica Winton (jessica.winton@noaa.gov) by June 28th, so we have an idea of the facilities needed.

 

The Partnership for Families, Children, and Adults is providing interpreters and hosting this event, and the Hearing Loss Association of America, Chattanooga Chapter is sponsoring CART services.
