Meanwhile, dangerous heat will intensify across the Desert Southwest and Intermountain West. A Heat Advisory is in effect through 10 PM PDT Sunday. High temperatures in the mid 90s and up to 105°F in the hottest inland locations. Low temperatures in the mid 60s in the hills to low 80s (especially in the higher elevations). HeatRisk will be in the Moderate to Major categories, which means hot conditions can cause heat illnesses if outdoors for long periods, especially with physical exertion.

A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for bayshore locations along the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay. Up to 1.6 feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. High tide may flood coastal trails, cut off access to some low-lying coastal areas and beaches, and bring water and waves farther up the beach than typical. Allow extra time for travel, do not drive around barricades or through water, and protect flood-prone property! #CAwx
