Daily records will likely be broken by nearly 10 degrees from Wednesday through next weekend. Excessive Heat Watches are in effect during the latter half of next week.
Phoenix and neighboring lower desert communities will almost certainly reach 100 degrees by the middle of next week. This would be the earliest occurrence of 100 degrees on record for the Phoenix area.
