Severe Storms and Flooding Threat in the Central Plains; Heat Continues in the South and West

Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds, large hail, and numerous instances of flash/urban flooding over parts of the central Plains and lower Missouri Valley. Hazardous heat will continue in the South, Desert Southwest and the California Central Valley this weekend. After that, 3 or 4 tabs will open up below the map:

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
