November Weather Review across Southern Colorado

The month of November was very warm and mainly dry across south central and southeast Colorado, which was again primarily influenced by a ridge of high pressure across the Rockies. However, a few passing weather systems towards the end of the month brought some areas of rain, with Colorado Springs setting a new daily rainfall record of 1.10 inches on November 23rd. For the month as a whole, above to well above normal temperatures were recorded across south central and southeast Colorado, with generally below normal precipitation, save for at and above normal precipitation across portions of the San Luis Valley and the southeast plains.

The preliminary average temperature in Alamosa for the past month of November was 36.2 degrees. This is 5.9 degrees above normal and makes November of 2025 the 2nd warmest November on record In Alamosa, just behind November of 2017,  when the average monthly temperature was 38.4 degrees. The average November maximum temperature in Alamosa was 54.6 degrees, which is 6.0 degrees above normal. The average November minimum temperature in Alamosa was 17.9 degrees, which is 5.8 degrees above normal.  Alamosa recorded 0.64 inches of precipitation through the month of November. This is 0.27 inches above normal and makes November of 2025 the 16th wettest November on record. This is remains below the wettest November of 2013 when 1.36 inches of precipitation was recorded in Alamosa.  Alamosa recorded 0.5 inches of snow in November, which is 2.9 inches below normal.   Alamosa set two daily record high temperatures and a daily record rainfall through the past month of November.   (ALS POR: 1932-2025)    

The preliminary average temperature in Colorado Springs for the past month of November was 45.9 degrees. This is 6.4 degrees above normal and makes November of 2025 tied with November of 2021 as the 2nd warmest November on record, which is just behind the warmest November of 1949, when the average monthly temperature was 47.4 degrees. The average November maximum temperature in Colorado Springs was 58.4 degrees, which is 5.5 degrees above normal. The average November minimum temperature in Colorado Springs was 33.5 degrees, which is 7.5 degrees above normal. Colorado Springs recorded 1.20 inches of precipitation through the month of November. This is 0.83 inches above normal and makes November of 2025 the 9th wettest November on record, well behind of the wettest November of 1909,  when 2.30 inches of precipitation was recorded in Colorado Springs.  Colorado Springs recorded 0.3 inches of snow in November, which is 4.1 inches below normal.  Colorado Springs set a daily record high of 78 degrees on November 2nd, which also ties the monthly record high temperature of 78 degrees set in November of 1924, 1981, 2006, 2016, and 2020.  Colorado Springs also set 2 daily record high minimum temperatures in November. Colorado Springs also set a record daily rainfall of 1.10 on November 23rd, which also sets a new record rainfall for the month of November, surpassing the 1.07 inches recorded on November 4th of 1946.  Also, the 0.3 inches of snow recorded on November 30th becomes the 4th latest first measurable snowfall on record in Colorado Springs, behind December 31st, 2021, December 23rd, 1939 and December 2nd, 2016.         (COS POR: 1894-2025)      

The preliminary average temperature in Pueblo for the past month of November was 45.5 degrees. This is 5.0 degrees above normal and makes November of 2025 the 8th warmest November record in Pueblo. This remains well behind the warmest November of 1949, when the average November temperature was 47.4 degrees. The average November maximum temperature in Pueblo was 61.7 degrees, which is 5.0 degrees above normal. The average November minimum temperature in Pueblo was 29.3 degrees, which is 5.1 degrees above normal. Pueblo recorded 0.63 inches of precipitation through the month of November. This is 0.16 inches above normal and makes November of 2025 the 30th wettest November on record. This remains well behind the wettest November of 2024 when 2.51 inches of precipitation was recorded in Pueblo.  Pueblo recorded 0.7 inches of snow in November, which is 3.4 inches below normal. Pueblo set a new daily record high temperature of 86 degrees on November 2nd, crushing the previous record of 81F set in 2008. The 86 degrees on November 2nd also sets a new record monthly high temperature in Pueblo, surpassing the 85 degrees set on November 8th of 2006.               (PUB POR: 1888-2025)  

Looking ahead into December in Alamosa, the average high and low temperatures of 40 degrees and 5 degrees on December 1st, cool to 33 degrees and -2 degrees by the end of the month.  The average temperature for the month of December in Alamosa is 18.1 degrees.  Alamosa averages 0.35 inches of precipitation and 4.6 inches of snow through the month of December.           

In Colorado Springs, the average high and low temperatures of 47 degrees and 21 degrees on December 1st, cool to 44 degrees and 18 degrees by the end of the month. The average temperature for the month of December in Colorado Springs is 31.7 degrees.  Colorado Springs averages 0.23 inches of precipitation and 4.1 inches of snow through the month of December.   On average, December is the driest month of the year and tied with January as the coldest month of the year in Colorado Springs.       

In Pueblo, the average high and low temperatures of 50 degrees and 19 degrees on December 1st, cool to 47 degrees and 15 degrees by the end of the month. The average temperature for the month of December in Pueblo is 31.7 degrees. Pueblo averages 0.29 inches of precipitation and 4.6 inches of snow through the month of December.  On average, December is the coldest month of the year and tied with January as the driest month of the year the year in Pueblo.
