The start of the summer of 2025 was a fairly active, with several passing weather systems bringing cool and wet periods through out the month of June, including periods of severe weather across eastern Colorado. June also saw periods of upper level ridging allowing for warm and dry periods through out the month as well. Both July and August saw a meandering ridge of high pressure across the Rockies, which brought periods of very warm and dry conditions, as well as cooler and wetter periods, with periods of severe weather and heavy monsoon rainfall across portions of south central and southeast Colorado.

The preliminary average temperature for the Summer of 2025 in Alamosa was 63.8 degrees. This is 0.8 degree above normal and makes the Summer of 2025 tied as the 13th warmest on record in Alamosa. This remains well below the warmest Summer of 2011 when the average Summer temperature was 65.3F. Alamosa recorded 1.76 inches of precipitation through the Summer of 2025. This is 1.00 inches below normal and makes the Summer of 2025 the 20th driest Summer on record in Alamosa. This remains well behind the driest Summer of 2023, when only 0.56 inches of precipitation was recorded in Alamosa.

This is 0.5 degrees below normal, but still makes the Summer of 2025 tied as the 30th warmest summer on record in Colorado Springs. This remains well below the warmest Summer of 2012, when the average Summer temperature was 73.3 degrees. Colorado Springs recorded 8.32 inches of precipitation through the Spring. This is 0.03 inches below normal and makes the Summer of 2025 the 48th wettest on record in Colorado Springs, well behind the wettest Summer of 1965, when 16.85 inches of precipitation was recorded in Colorado Springs.

The preliminary average temperature for the Summer of 2025 in Pueblo was 74.9F. This is 0.3 degrees above normal and makes the Summer of 2025 tied as the 29th warmest Summer on record in Pueblo. This remains well behind the warmest Summer of 1970 when the average temperature was 77.7 degrees. Pueblo recorded 5.12 inches of precipitation throughout the Summer. This is 0.16 inches below normal and makes the Summer of 2025 the 70th driest on record in Pueblo. This remains well ahead of the driest Summer of 1939 when only 0.86 inches of precipitation was recorded in Pueblo.
