A quick hitting high-impact winter-like Spring storm is expected to impact the region from Saturday through Sunday morning, bringing strong winds and brief periods of heavy Sierra snow with some spillover into NE CA & W NV. Winter-like conditions are likely in the Sierra, making travel difficult to impossible for brief periods during the duration of the storm. Strong winds Saturday may lead to major travel disruptions, recreation impacts, and power outages. Travel is highly discouraged, especially in the Sierra.
