Thunderstorms in the North Central U.S.; Dangerous Heat in Texas

There is a severe weather and isolated flooding threat from the Central to Northern Plains tonight into early Thursday. The severe weather threat will progress eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Great Lakes into the Lower Ohio Valley Thursday. Planned maintenance will result in an outage of two NOAA Weather Radio transmitters. The stations affected will be the Forks transmitter station KXI-27 serving Clallam, Jefferson, and Grays Harbor counties as well as the Neah Bay transmitter KIH-36 serving Clallam and Jefferson counties. Maintenance will begin on the morning of Tuesday, October 6, and may extend as late as noon Wednesday, October 7. We apologize for any inconvenience.
