Widespread Rain from Texas to the Central Appalachians; Heavy to Excessive Rainfall in Southern California and the Southwest

Scattered thunderstorms and widespread showers are expected from the Texas coast to the central Appalachians today. Heavy to excessive rainfall will continue in southern California into the Desert Southwest through Saturday. After a long hiatus SMG is sharing KSC area wind towers out to MADIS and the Utah MesoWest every 5 minutes.  You can see the data at:

  • NWS Weather and Hazards Viewer 
  • Utah MesoWest To see the KSC towers be sure to click the Network dropdown box and select "All Networks".  This site is especially nice as all tower levels can be listed with a few clicks.
