Additional forecasts available on NWS weather information line

The Rapid City National Weather Service has added additional local forecasts on its weather information phone line, 605-341-7531.  The main menu has expanded to include options 4 through 9, which are

4 - Gillette forecast

5 - Northern Black Hills forecast

6 - Southern Black Hills forecast

7 - Northern Plains forecast

8 - Pine Ridge Reservation forecast

9 - Rosebud Reservation forecast

Options 1 through 3 remain the same: 1 is the current conditions around the Black Hills region, 2 is the Rapid City forecast, and 3 is the Rapid City climate summary.

The recorded forecasts are those used on NOAA Weather Radio and are updated at least every three hours.
