Multiple rounds of heavy mountain snow and strong winds are expected Monday through Wednesday. As such, the Winter Storm Watches for the Spring Mountains, Sheep Range, and elevations above 5,000 feet in central Nye and Esmeralda Counties have been upgraded to Winter Storm Warnings.
Snow is expected above 4,000 feet from this afternoon through Wednesday morning across Owens Valley, Lincoln & northern Mohave counties, and northeast San Bernardino County. Travel could be slick at times — plan ahead and use caution if heading into higher elevations
Winter weather will impact popular travel routes late today and tonight as a strong and cold weather system moves through. Check your road status before you go and keep a winter preparedness kit handy in case you encounter winter weather.
