Recently burned areas will be particularly vulnerable to flash flooding. Widespread showers and storms are expected today, some of which may produce very strong wind gusts. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined much of Southern Nevada and Northwest Arizona with a marginal (2 on a scale of 1 to 5) risk for severe thunderstorms, mainly due to the risk of 60 mph thunderstorm wind gusts.
