Yesterday's Highs and Low temperatures and past 24 hour precipitation.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms continue this evening across western and northern New Mexico. Many of the stronger storms will bring heavy rain. Normally susceptible low-lying areas, arroyos, creeks, streams and roads that normally flood will be prone to rapidly flowing water. Showers and thunderstorms will impact Santa Fe, Rio Rancho and Albuquerque through 8pm.
Seasonable overnight temperatures are expected with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms continuing to expand over much of western, central, and northern New Mexico this evening and tonight. Locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be possible.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 6 am MDT Friday for a large portion of northern and central New Mexico. The watch includes the Albuquerque and Santa Fe metro areas. Be alert to ponding of water on roads and in low-lying areas. Fast and abrupt flows could also develop in normally dry arroyos, low water crossings, and river beds. Heed any warnings that might be issued later!
Showers and storms will be featured across the north and west Friday. Locally heavy rain which could lead to arroyo and street flooding is possible. The east central and southeast should be drier. High temperatures will be slightly below average for most locales.
Dew point temperature is one of many parameters used to monitor moisture surges of the North American Monsoon across the Southwestern U.S.
