Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible this evening along the lower Texas coast, with isolated showers possible overnight. Temperatures will fall into the lower and mid 70s under partly cloudy skies. A light chop on the bay will become smooth late in the evening with east winds around 10 knots becoming south. Expect seas of 2 to 4 feet offshore with occasional waves of 5 feet.
Rain and thunderstorm chances will linger through the rest of the midweek before conditions dry out for Friday and the upcoming weekend. Expect temperatures to return to slightly above normal from Thursday into the weekend with afternoon highs ranging from the middle 90s across the lower Valley into the lower 100s across the upper Valley and Zapata County. Friday and the upcoming weekend will also feature breezy winds out of the southeast.
