Today will be warm, wet and breezy with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms . Highs will be mostly in the 70s. A cold front will move into North Texas this afternoon and reach a Bonham to Breckenridge line by 3 PM. A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon southeast along and southeast of a Bonham to Goldthwaite line. South winds 15 to 25 mph will shift to the north as a cold front passes.
Widespread showers and embeded thunderstorms will occur across North and Central Texas tonight. A strong to severe storms will be possible this evening ahead of a cold front that will extend southeast of a Sulphur Springs to Comanche line by 9 PM. Large hail and damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible. Cloud to ground lightning and heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding will be a threat with any of the thunderstorms.
It will be cloudy, breezy and colder Wednesday with a 90 to 100 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 30s northwest to around 60 southeast. Expect north winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph at times.
Rain chances will continue today (Tuesday) and Wednesday. Rain chances will linger into Thursday as well. Due to abundant moisture and lift, there will be a risk of flooding. The flooding will most likely be confined to low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as small streams and creeks. Isolated instances of Flash Flooding will be possible.
