Here are your weather headlines for North and Central TX for the upcoming week (Monday thru Thursday).
It will be cloudy, breezy and warmer today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Normal highs for this time of the year are in the upper 50s to lower 60s, but highs today will be 10 to over 15 degrees above normal with 70s to near 80 degrees expected. South winds at 15 to 25 mph will occur with some gusts over 35 mph possible along and west of the I-35 corridor.
We will have another cloudy, breezy, warm, and humid night tonight. Lows will be in the 60s which will be slightly above our normal highs for this time of the year! There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms across all of North and Central Texas. Winds will be southerly at 15 to 25 mph.
Rain chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances will linger into Thursday as well. Due to abundant moisture and lift, there will be a risk of flooding. The flooding will most likely be confined to low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as small streams and creeks. Isolated instances of Flash Flooding will be possible. We will have well above normal temperatures through Tuesday. A cold front will move through the region Tuesday night and Wednesday morning bringing cooler weather Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will start to moderate on Friday and we will have above normal again for the weekend.
