National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Not the words or forecast you want to hear, but additional rain is expected on Friday. Some of the rain may be heavy at times resulting in additional flooding problems and/or exacerbating ongoing flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for locations east and north of Denton to Cleburne to Canton. Despite the rain and cloud cover, temperatures will actually warm into the 40s, 50s, and 60s as a warm front lifts across the region.
More rain is expected on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to form a line that moves west to east across the region. In addition, showers and storms will also occur ahead of this line. Localized heavy rainfall will be a threat, and strong or marginally severe storms will also be possible.
