Winds will increase today and become gusty through this evening. Gusty winds of 35-40mph are possible over the west .
Partly to mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions are expected today with chances of rain increasing quickly this afternoon as a cold front approaches. Temperatures will be mild ahead of the front, but will be dropping off quickly before sundown in portions of the Arklamiss Delta.
Showers and maybe an embedded thunderstorms will press through portions of eastern and southeastern Mississippi quickly this evening. Otherwise, colder conditions will prevail with north winds gradually dropping off as the night progresses.
Sunny skies and cooler temperatures will be the rule Sunday as highs top out in the 50s.
