Thunderstorms will move from west to east across the Dakotas later today and tonight. A few storms may become severe. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threat with this system.

Timing

Central South Dakota: Thunderstorms are forecast to move into the area between 7 PM & 10 PM CDT

Eastern South Dakota & West Central MN: Thunderstorms are forecast to move into the area after 10 PM CDT

Impacts

Isolated thunderstorms may produce large hail

Isolated thunderstorms may produce strong winds

Frequent lightning will occur
