Wintry Precipitation for the Northeast; Increasing Severe Weather Threat from the Plains to the Midwest

Wintry mixed precipitation will spread across the Northeast today, with light snow and ice accumulations forecast through southern New England. Meanwhile, the threat of severe weather will be increasing from the southern Plains to the Midwest, with rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some severe, expected each day through Friday.
