Early Week Impacts Include Monsoon and Heat

Monsoonal showers and thunderstorms may result in flash flooding and debris flows from the from the Southwest into the Four Corners and central Rockies through midweek. Summer heat with above normal temperatures are likely for the central Plains into Tuesday. Drought conditions have expanded across South Dakota, with 72% of the state in Moderate Drought, 42% in Severe Drought and 11% in Extreme Drought.
