As the school year begins, the NWS is launching a Back to School social media campaign.  Beginning on Sunday August 16, Owlie Skywarn and NWS social media (Facebook and Twitter) will be featuring various weather related resources to help educators, both formal and informal, and others who support education in preparing for the upcoming school year. The social media posts will appear over a two week period with the goal of highlighting some of our internal NWS Education resources, as well as links to NOAA resources and some of our prominent partner resources.  Educators preparing for the new school year can gather fun ideas, information, learning resources, and classroom ideas about weather.
