Above Average Temperatures for the West and Central Plains; Lake Effect Snow Continues

Well above average temperatures will prevail across the Plains and the West Coast this week, while a cold front will bring Arctic air to the South and East Coast Thursday and Friday. Weather History - May 30th

May 30th, 1998:
An F4 tornado moved through southeast South Dakota, killing six people and injuring another 150. The tornado crossed into McCook County at approximately 7:38 pm CST and moved through downtown Spencer at about 7:39 pm CST. The total cost of damage was more than $18 million, with an additional half million in crop damage.
