Severe Thunderstorms in the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys; Flash Flooding Possible in the Southwest

Scattered damaging winds, isolated severe hail, and a brief tornado or two are possible from the Upper Ohio to Tennessee Valleys during the late afternoon and evening. Fairbanks NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Outage

 

Due to a series of severe winter storms in the Fairbanks area, the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter WXJ81 in Fairbanks is offline until technicians can perform maintenance. We do not currently have an estimate on the time of return to service for the transmitter, and we apologize for this inconvenience.
