The Juneau Forecast office is part of the National Weather Service Alaska Region. When placed over a map of the lower 48 states, the Alaska Region area of responsibility extends from Florida to California and from Texas to Minnesota. WFO Juneau's area of responsibility is over 150,000 square miles, including the Panhandle and the eastern Gulf of Alaska.

The Juneau Forecast Office is located in the Mendenhall Valley, just a few miles from the terminus of the Mendenhall Glacier. The office is approximately 10 miles from downtown Juneau and 3 miles from the airport. Visitors are welcome!
