1994 An isolated thunderstorm in Cuba, Allegany county, produced damaging winds that downed a 75 foot pine tree. The tree fell onto a house resulting in structural damage to the roof and second story. An outdoor gazebo was also flattened by the tree. 2005 A weak cold front crossed the area and was accompanied by damaging thunderstorms. The winds destroyed a barn in Bolivar, Allegany County. In Wellsville, the winds broke a housing unit on top of the Elementary School, breaking a natural gas line and filling parts of the school with gas and a strong odor. The school was evacuated and no injuries were reported. The strong winds downed trees in Genesee, Scio and Wellsville.
