NWS Buffalo Tour Policy

We appreciate your interest in the National Weather Service!

Our forecast office hosts tours year-round. To assist with our scheduling, please submit your request at least four weeks in advance. While tours typically take place on weekdays, we may be able to arrange Saturday slots upon request.
Group size limits vary based on the age of the attendees and the type of group. For larger parties, we can arrange to divide the group into two smaller groups or plan a separate visit to ensure everyone is accommodated. Tours typically last 1-2 hours.
We strongly recommend that tour participants be at least 10 years old, but we are open to exploring options for groups with younger children.
Please be aware that tours may be postponed or canceled in the event of severe weather workloads or unexpected staffing limitations. Should we need to adjust your tour time, we will reach out to you beforehand.
Please note that all attendees must be U.S. Citizens. We also ask all visitors to limit the personal items they bring inside the NWS facility.
