1969 A tornado touched down in Sinclairville, Chautauqua county shortly after 7pm. More than three hundred thousand dollars in damage occurred. Only one person had minor injuries. 1978 Locally heavy thunderstorms late in the day flooded some roads in Buffalo at Delaware park as Scajaquada creek spilled over its banks. Other streets were also closed by the downpour in Cheektowaga and Depew because of poor drainage flooding. 1990 High winds and thunderstorms accompanied the passage of a rapidly moving cold front, downing trees and power lines and causing considerable damage across western and central New York. A peak gust of 61 mph was reported at the Buffalo Airport. Wind damage was reported in Brocton (Chautauqua county), Buffalo (Erie county), Brighton and Penfield (Monroe county), Canandaigua, Phelps and Naples, (Ontario county), and Clyde, West Walworth and Sodus (Wayne county).
