...The Frost/Freeze Program for East/South Aroostook, Central
Highlands, and Upper Penobscot Valley has Ended for the Season...

Frost and freeze headlines will no longer be issued for this fall
season for eastern/southern Aroostook, Central Highland, and
Upper Penobscot Valley regions. This includes northeast and
southeast Aroostook, central and southern Piscataquis, northern
and central Penobscot, and northern Washington counties. After
September 21st, frost is climatologically likely and should be
expected. Farmers and gardeners can still refer to the
froze/freeze potential in our forecast products until the
frost/freeze season ends for all of northern and eastern Maine on
October 11th.
