Please compare the new proposed/experimental version of the Open Waters Forecast with the current format.  The modernized open waters forecast will be presented in a tabular form and open up the opportunity for inclusion of extra marine variables.  The current version has a text format and includes the coded MAFOR/Maritime Forecast.  These are some of the notable differences, but please compare the products below and provide comments with this survey.

.SYNOPSIS...A WARM FRONT WILL LIFT NORTH ACROSS THE LAKE LATE
THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING. LOW PRESSURE 29.70 INCHES
WILL MOVE ACROSS ONTARIO INTO QUEBEC ON THURSDAY WITH A COLD FRONT
CROSSING THE LAKE DURING THE AFTERNOON. A RIDGE AVERAGING 30.10
INCHES WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE LAKE FRIDAY FOLLOWED BY A WARM
FRONT FRIDAY NIGHT. A SOUTHEAST MOVING COLD FRONT WILL CROSS THE
LAKE SATURDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE 30.10 INCHES WILL MOVE EAST
ACROSS THE CENTRAL GREAT LAKES SUNDAY.

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A warm front will lift north across the lake late
this afternoon through this evening. Low pressure 29.70 inches
will move across Ontario into Quebec on Thursday with a cold front
crossing the lake during the afternoon. A ridge averaging 30.10
inches will move east across the lake Friday followed by a warm
front Friday night. A southeast moving cold front will cross the
lake Saturday night. High pressure 30.10 inches will move east
across the central Great Lakes Sunday.
