October 2016 was warmer than normal with below normal precipitation at Duluth MN
The average temperature for October was 47.6 degrees which was 4.4 degrees above the normal of 43.2 degrees making this tied for the 17th warmest October in station history. The highest temperature for the month was 74 degrees on the 10th . The lowest temperature was 30 degrees on the 9th. No daily temperature records were broken for the month. Eight days had average temperatures below normal. October 2016 was below normal for precipitation with a total of 1.55 inches of precipitation recorded for the month. The highest temperature for the month was 73 degrees on the 2nd and 3rd. The lowest temperature was 21 degrees on the 24th. No daily temperature records were broken for the month.
