Public Information Statement National Weather Service Duluth MN 1115 AM CDT Mon Oct 31 2022 ...NOAA WEATHER RADIO LISTENERS MAY EXPERIENCE "CHECK SIGNAL" MESSAGES... Due to radio outages in the past week, NOAA weather radio receivers may begin to beep periodically and display a "check signal" or "check reception" message. If your receiver displays this message, you can clear the message by briefly turning off the radio. The best way to turn off the radio is to disconnect the power and remove the batteries for a few moments. When the batteries and power are restored, the "check" message should be cleared.
