Heat will build over the Intermountain West and the Southwest the next couple of days. Lightning from dry thunderstorms can create new fire starts and combined with gusty winds may cause a fire to rapidly grow in Oregon and northern California. This class covers winter weather science, the winter 2020-2021 outlook, how to measure and report winter weather to NWS, and many resource available to stay up-to-date on the forecast. Live classes were offered in early November, and a recording of the talk is available below. You do NOT need to be an official spotter for our office to attend! This webinar will focus on northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, but those outside our region are also welcome to watch.
