Winter Skywarn Spotter Training

Returning for 2024 is our special winter spotter course! This class covers winter weather science, the winter 2024-2025 outlook, how to measure and report winter weather to NWS, the new cold headlines for 2024-2025, and many resource available to stay up-to-date on the forecast. If you are unable to attend one of our live classes, you are welcome to watch the recording of the class below, which will be updated to the current version soon. You do NOT need to be an official spotter for our office to attend - classes are free and open to all. This presentation focuses on northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, but those outside our region are also welcome to watch, too. Registration is required for the virtual classes and the link can be found by clicking on the calendar entry below. No registration is required for the in-person class.
