Stead light rain will continue across the area today. The heaviest rain rates are most likely late this morning at the high elevations of Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. Warmer air streaming into the area will restrict new snowfall to the high mountains. Any impacts are expected to be limited to areas of poor drainage.
A welcome break to rain is on the way with much drier and sunnier conditions Wednesday and Thursday. Clear skies, however, also mean colder nights. Much of the area is expected to see freezing or near freezing temperatures by Thursday morning.
