Last Map Update: Thu, Jul 17, 2025 at 12:48:33 am MDT

We are deep in the swing of monsoon season, and we have plenty of moisture streaming across the region. This means every day will have rain and storm chances across the Borderland.
Moisture will tick up on Thursday and a disorganized pattern will lead to increased storm coverage. This will increase the risk of flash flooding, especially across recent burn scars.
Another day of monsoonal thunderstorms can be expected for your Thursday! There will be an uptick in activity compared to Wednesday with scattered to numerous storms over the area mountains and isolated to scattered storms in the desert lowlands. Hazards to be aware of with storms will be localized flooding, lightning, and gusty outflow winds and even some blowing dust from outflows.
Temperatures will run slightly above seasonal average for the foreseeable future, with 90s across the lowlands, 80s in the foothills, and 70s in the mountains.
