Flooding Threat Along the Gulf Coast, Southern Rockies and High Plains; Cooler Weather in the Central and Eastern U.S.

Rain chances ramp up this weekend due to well-above normal moisture and an unsettled weather pattern. Sunday looks like the best chance for rain. The risk for flash flooding will be on the increase this weekend, lowering from Monday onward.
A Flood Watch has been issued for the Sacs from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.
Excessive Rainfall Outlooks for Saturday and Sunday. Areas east of the RGV will be favored for heavy rainfall on Saturday, then spreading westward on Sunday. Isolated to scattered instances of flash flooding can be expected each day.
Our high temperatures will be well above average today, but then with increasing moisture and clouds we will see high temperatures near average on Saturday and then below average for Sunday through the middle of next week.
