Isolated severe storms east of the Rio Grande

Where and When:
The Black Range and Sacramento Mountains in the afternoon, working into the lowlands east of the Continental Divide, including El Paso and Las Cruces, late Tuesday afternoon (6/10) into the evening.

Hazards:
- Isolated Damaging Wind Gusts, Large Hail eastern areas.
- Gusty outflow winds western areas.

While we will see a slow decrease in high temperatures over the next few days, it will not last. A strong upper ridge will build over the region by late in the week and bring a return to the very hot temperatures, possibly the hottest of the year so far by the weekend. For those interested, we have had 6 days of 100+ high temperatures in El Paso this year which equals last year. In 2023, we hadn't hit 100 yet, but that year ended up with the record number of days at or above 100 with 70 days.
