In the north-central U.S., a storm will bring heavy snow and gusty to high winds over parts of the northern Plains and Upper Midwest today before moving across the Great Lakes with heavy lake effect snow Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day. Dry conditions. Temperatures will be near normal under sunny skies. Typical afternoon breezes will prevail.
Thanksgiving Day will have mild weather with mostly sunny skies, light winds, and above normal temperatures in the middle 60s to near 70 across the lowlands with 50s in the mountains.
The temperature outlook for this weeks will include seasonably mild temperatures for most of the week with a warming trend for the Thanksgiving holiday period. Temperatures across the lowlands will range from lower to mid 60s at the beginning of the week to the upper 60s to lower 70s toward the end of the week.
