Extreme heat continues today from the central Plains to the lower Mississippi River Valley, over southeast Montana, and from southern California into the Southwest Deserts. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. Severe thunderstorms capable of strong to severe wind gusts and large hail are possible across the Great Lakes into the Ohio Valley today into tonight. Heat Advisory is in effect today and Tuesday for the south-central lowlands, including El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. Also, Hudspeth County including the Lower Valley and Salt Flats/Dell City. High Temperatures will range from 103° to 107°. These hot temperatures may lead to heat-related illnesses.
