A weak monsoonal moisture plume will develop along the Continental Divide through mid-week, bringing isolated thunderstorms back to southwestern New Mexico. The moisture will increase and spread east towards the weekend, increasing chances for scattered thunderstorms across a wider area.
Dry west flow aloft, caused by high pressure over northern Mexico and a deep low just off the northern California coast, will continue the sunny skies and very warm temperatures. A few thunderstorms are possible over the mountains. High temperatures will be around 5 to 8 degrees above normal.
