Severe thunderstorms rapidly developed on the afternoon of April 13, 2026 in far southeast SD, southwest MN and northwest IA. Isolated storms quickly developed by mid-afternoon, expanding in coverage through the evening as they tracked eastward. While the vast majority of severe weather reports were in the form of large hail, two tornadoes were reported. These weak tornadoes located near Webb, IA and Sanborn, IA impacted mostly farm fields. One residence near the path of the Webb, IA tornado did sustain minor damage. |

Tornadoes
