The weather observations from Sioux City Iowa are currently not available. The Automated Surface Obervation System (ASOS) is not transmitting data over certain communications lines. This outage will affect the hourly observations on the NOAA Weather Radio system and also the National Weather Service internet pages. We are currently troubleshooting the issue and waiting for the FAA to access the communication problems. At this time, it is not known how long it will take to repair the problem. We apologize for this outage and will provide updates to the outage as they become available.
