.DISCUSSION...
An approaching cold front will bring gusty winds to the forecast
area today. These gusts will be between 20 to 30 mph for most areas though
the northern valleys will see gusts up to 40 mph, possibly higher at times.
A wind advisory has been issued for that area from noon to 6pm. The cold
front will move through starting at 6pm and will have exited the area
by daybreak tomorrow. A few inches (1 to 3) of snow is possible for the
northern and central mountains late tonight as the front moves through.
Areas outside the mountains may see a few showers but little accumulation
expected. Temperatures will drop Saturday but start warming up as soon
as Sunday. After that, another prolonged period of dry and warm weather
