This week, March 12th-18th, is also Flood Safety and Wildfire Awareness Week for Colorado. With the return of wildfire and flood season in Colorado we want to make sure you are weather ready! Now is the time to get the facts on how to stay safe in a flood or when fire danger increases.
Rain in Colorado is vital to our ecosystem, however, sometimes there can be too much at one time resulting in massive floods. These floods can create billions of dollars in damage and claim lives. Would you know what to do or where to go if a flood was imminent for your home? How about a fire? Wildfires are a real and present threat throughout the year in Colorado and you need to be prepared. Additionally, it is also Flood Safety Awareness Week in the state of Utah!
